official urges local GOP to stay the course
The Nelson County Republicans met
Saturday night for the annual Lincoln Day Dinner, an opportunity
to celebrate the life of the 16th president and consider the
state of the party at the local, state and national level.
The dinner
was held at My Old Kentucky Home Country Club and organized
by the Nelson County Organization of Republican Women. Despite
the snow and threats of slickened highways, the event was
well-attended. 

Jan. 27, 2006 - With
the filing deadline fast approaching, additional candidates
have filed their paperwork with the office of Nelson County
Clerk Phyllis Mattingly. "It's been a crazy day here
today," one deputy clerk said Friday afternoon when called
for the latest filing information.

200-plus people at the US31E meeting in the Bardstown High
School cafeteria earlier this month were the "usual suspects"
