About The Gazette
The Nelson County Gazette began in December 2005 as an experimental extension of a blog its editor had been writing for several years about news and events taking place here in Nelson County. Through the years, the Nelson County Gazette has established itself as a leader in breaking news, political commentary and reports on events around Nelson County. The News Break Fire Report publishes fire department runs as they happen for the county's fire departments. Breaking news updates are available via Twitte (click here to follow the Gazette on Twitter); the Gazette also offers an e-mail service that will alert readers when the home page is updated; the box to sign-up for update alerts is at the bottom of the lower left on the Gazette home page.
