The
Nelson County Gazette
Mission Statement
|
"Freedom
of the press belongs to the man who owns one."

I first read this quote
while a journalism student at Western Kentucky University.
It was not until I discovered the pre-Web Internet at WKU
that I realized that the power to "publish" instantaneously
-- without newsprint and without being tied to the traditional
newspaper production cycle-- would one day change the nature
of our lives. In less than a decade, the Internet transformed
our lives, changing the ways we communicate and conduct business.
The Nelson County Gazette is designed
to be an enhanced weblog that examines news, politics and
life in and around Nelson County. This site will make frank
observations on current events and contain a lot of armchair
quarterbacking and general complaining.
Comments, suggestions and ideas are always
welcome via news@nelsoncountygazette.com,
or click on the "Feedback" link at left.
This site is updated on a catch-as-catch-can
basis. Even when all is quiet on my hill overlooking Cox's
Creek, there's always something elsewhere to blog about
