Stanley Ned Rosenbaum, 71, Boston

Stanley Ned Rosenbaum 71, of Boston, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011. He was born to the late Stanley Menz and Wilma Nussbaum Rosenbaum. He was member of the Lexington Havuriah. He was a retired adjunct professor at the University of Kentucky, and a former professor of Jewish Studies at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Penn. He was an Eagle Scout and a Woodrow Wilson Fellow.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William M. Rosenbaum.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Helene Pottker Rosenbaum; two sons, William “Will” Rosenbaum ofBoston, Ky. and Ephraim Rosenbaumof New York; one daughter, Dr. Sarah Rosenbaum (Yukio Tezuka), Philadelphia; one brother, James Klein of New Hope, Penn.; and five grandchildren, Elijah, Hannah, Zane, Benjamin-Yoshito, and Naomi Grace.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at the Skakel Chapel at the Abbey of Gethsemani with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be given to Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
