Judge exec hopeful kicks off campaign initiative, 'Meet Pete' event

Moniday, Jan. 18, 2010, 11 a.m. - Republican candidate for judge executive Pete Trzop announced Friday the kick off of the "Team Nelson County" initiative and his first "Meet Pete" campaign event

The team concept isn't a new one, Trzop says, just one that is needed in local government. "This does not mean doing business as usual, but making government work for all the people of the county," he said.

The team concept aims to give county residents the opportunity to voice their ideas and concerns on the issues that matter directly to them. “Instead of government telling people what to do or what they should do, the movement allows for people to chose an issue or issues important to them, and what they can do to improve it,” he said.

County residents can choose the level of participation they wish as part of the team concept. “If you want more of the same, vote the same, but if you want your ideas heard, your government open to all people, then vote different. Team Nelson allows for people to participate in their future on any level they want. “

FIRST TEAM NELSON EVENT SET FOR JAN. 30. Trzop's first "Meet Pete" event is slated for noon-6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at the home of Pete and Chasity Trzop, 100 Sandy Hill Court in Woodlawn Springs subdivision. To RSVP, e-mail pete@petetrzop.com or call (502) 233‐4585.
