Friday, March 28, 2008, 1:45 a.m. -- Two Fort Knox men may face charges after one of them attempted to steal a shopping cart full of adult beverages from the Bardstown Wal-Mart Supercenter early Friday morning.

Nelson County Dispatch received a 911 call from Wal-Mart about 12:35 a.m. reporting a male subject walking out of the store with a cart full of adult beverages without paying for them. The dispatcher also reported that people inside the store were going after the man.

Two deputies with the Nelson County Sheriff's Office arrived quickly on the scene, and reported that the people from inside the store had the alleged shoplifter stopped outside the store in the parking lot.

Police located the second Fort Knox man who was driving the getaway car, which was described as a 1998 Honda. Barsdstown City police joined the investigation. One of the men was arrested and taken to the Nelson County Jail.
