By JIM BROOKS
Nelson County Gazette

Monday, March 3, 2008, 2:30 p.m. (UPDATED 8 p.m.) -- Deputies from the Nelson County Sheriff's Office and a KSP trooper apprehended a Cox's Creek man wanted by Bullitt County authorities investigating the theft of copper wire.

Nelson County Dispatch issued an Attempt To Locate for the Hibbs Lane resident's vehicle, described as a black 1990s Ford Mustang, which was inbound from Bullitt County on KY 245. Deputies watching for him on KY 245 did not spot the suspect, so two deputies and a KSP trooper drove to the suspects' Hibbs Lane home and apprehended him there.

A deputy transported the man to High Grove where he was handed over to a Bullitt County deputy sheriff.

UPDATE: At least two deputies from the Nelson County Sheriff's Office went back to the suspect's home and executed a search warrant later in the day.
